For
anyone in the flower industry, February is a month dominated
by Valentines Day; were deluged with red Roses,
pink Tulips, and all the trappings of traditional romance.
This can be overwhelming, but for me it also serves as a reminder
of what weddings are all about: romance.
The
day when you pledge your undying love can be many things;
it can be traditional, elegant, casual, intimate, extravagant,
or all of the above, but whats most important is that
its all about the two of you. Your wedding (and by extension,
the flowers you choose) should reflect the character of your
individual romance, not just what tradition dictates.
If
you love Roses, then indulge and surround yourself with their
lush blossoms, but if they arent your cup of tea, remember
that other flowers can be just as romantic. Oriental Lilies
have an irresistible and intoxicating scent, and their exotic
blooms can be both elegant and sensual. The red and white
blossoms of Stargazer Lilies were one of our bestsellers this
Valentines Day, and simple white Calla Lilies are becoming
a staple of modern weddings.
If
its meaningful to you, any flower can become an emblem
of your love; you might choose the flowers that were on the
table at your first date, or try to recreate a memorable bouquet.
Your flowers are just one of the many opportunities you have
to make a wedding thats unique and memorable, perfectly
tailored to your individual taste.
Please
dont hesitate to contact me if you have any questions
about the flowers Ive mentioned in this newsletter,
or wedding flowers in general. Im always happy to hear
