The
days are starting to get longer and brighter, the clouds are
fewer, and the grass is greener, while Daffodils, Hyacinths,
and a few early Tulips have begun to poke their heads out
of the dirt, dotting lawns with color and brightening early
gardens. Spring may not quite be here yet, but its undeniably
on its way, and many of you will celebrate your own nuptials
during this bright and festive season.
By
the time the big day comes, your gardens will be full of inspiration,
but many of the seasons brightest blooms havent
appeared yet. It can be hard to plan ahead if you dont
know whats coming, so I thought Id share a few
of my springtime favorites with you.
Peonies: If youre getting married in May or June, consider
yourself lucky; its Peony season. One of our most requested
flowers, these extra-large ruffled blossoms are a favorite
around the office as well.
French Tulips: Larger than standard tulips, these elegant
blooms are available for only a few months each year. Their
pure colors and large blossoms are bright enough to attract
attention, modest enough not to distract from the bride.
Parrot
Tulips: These unusual ruffled Tulips are available in a several
bright shades, including a cool green. Their intricate irregular
shapes are beautiful on their own, but they can also be paired
with standard tulips, freesia, or classic Roses.
