While
the days are still warm here in Oregon, the nights are crisp,
and were looking forward to a beautiful Autumn. With
Falls temperate weather comes a whole new crop of flowers,
and in this months newsletter, Ill be introducing
you to some of those varieties, as well as highlighting some
of the blooms that are available in the rich colors of the
harvest.
First,
though, I should introduce myself. My name is Erin, and I
have taken over from Ginnie as Flowerbuds Wedding &
Event Specialist. Over the last few years, Ginnie has built
our DIY Weddings business into something very special, and
I hope to continue in that tradition; providing personal attention
and advice to each of you. If you ever have any questions,
please feel free to email me at erin@flowerbud.com.
Now,
on to the flowers:
Hydrangea-
Hydrangea is one of my favorite flowers; each flower head
is actually an intricate constellation of miniature flowers.
Their large size makes them a perfect focal point in a bouquet
or centerpiece, and theyre currently at the height of
their season. These incomparably elegant flowers are available
in serene shades of pink, blue, white, and green.
Long
Stem Roses- The classic rose never goes out of style. Roses
can be difficult to ship in the summer, as theyre quite
delicate, and can easily suffer heat damage, but those of
you planning Fall weddings are in luck! We have recently begun
importing Roses from Colombia and Ecuador, and the quality
and selection are unparalleled.
Weve
mixed orange Calla Lilies, "Hocus Pocus" Roses, and Safari
Sunset Leucadendron for a Calla and Rose bouquet thats
both romantic and seasonal, aglow in Falls warm tones.
We also have Mini Callas in flame, burgundy, and yellow, so
youre sure to find the perfect color to complement your
chosen roses.
If
you have any questions about wedding flowers, or if you just
want to share ideas, stories, or photographs of your wedding
flowers, please feel free to email or call me. You can also
find lots of information and ideas in Flowerbuds
DIY Wedding section.
As
always, thanks for your interest in Flowerbud.com, and have
a wonderful Autumn.
Best Wishes,
Erin
