Cool
and classic, white is the traditional color of weddings. While
many of you choose more vivid shades, an all-white color scheme
doesn’t have to be boring, or even simple; the scents
and shapes of the flowers can be subtly or dramatically varied,
and the effect is sure to be gorgeous.
As
the weather cools, I’m dreaming of snow, and that’s
the inspiration for this month’s newsletter: a wedding
shimmering with winter’s iciest shade.
Many
flowers are available in shades of white, from traditional
and romantic Roses to gold-tinged Irises, but for pure white
drama, you can’t beat Lilies. Our Siberia Lilies have
a sweet fragrance and an elegant blossom that’s perfect
for larger arrangements.
White
Calla Lilies make a display that’s simultaneously classic
and modern, statuesque without being overbearing. Of course,
these graceful flowers are also available in a miniature version
that’s one of our most popular wedding flowers.
If
you will be carrying a mixed bouquet, try having a variety
of table arrangements, making sure to include at least one
of the flowers that’s in your bouquet on each table.
You’ll be able to be creative with each arrangement,
while retaining continuity with color and flower choice.
Clear
glass vases and accents in shades of white and silver will
match easily with this pure and elegant look, but small spots
of color can punctuate the bright white in a way that’s
dramatic and beautiful. Try a few green Calla Lilies in an
arrangement, or tie a crimson ribbon around your bouquet.
Above all, remember that this is your wedding, and the flowers
should be just as you dreamed them.
