Zantedeschia, better known as the Calla Lily or Arum Lily, is native to South Africa. Each long stem hosts a solitary flower consisting of a thick, yellowish spadix enveloped in a delicate spathe, most often white or cream. Mini Callas are much smaller and grow in a variety of rich colors.
Check vase water levels regularly as the hearty Calla Lily stems demand steady hydration. Calla Lilies prefer cooler temperatures as well--their peak season is February-May. Mini Callas peak in the summer months.
