The Casablanca is easily identified by its protruding, pollen-bearing anthers. If you feel compelled to remove them for fear of staining your favorite tablecloth with the dark brown pollen, a word of advice: Don't! Not only do the anthers offer a striking visual contrast to the all-white flowers, any stains will quickly disappear if exposed to direct sunlight. And to dispel another common flower myth: Removing the anthers does not increase a flower's vase life.
