Parrot Tulips
These dramatic tulips developed their scalloped edges from slight mutations to standard Tulip bulbs. Their glorious disfigurations have inspired artists to try to capture their beauty for centuries. We are pleased to feature one of the most popular varieties, the Weber, with its colorful green, cream and pink plumage.
Parrot Tulips have a different vase habit than the standard varieties in that they tend to be a little more "free ranging". Very much as depicted by the Dutch Masters of the 17th century. This is a trait to be enjoyed.
