International Women’s Day is right around the corner on Sunday, March 8th. A day of celebrating and recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women. A recognition that we have been celebrating for over a century with the first gathering in 1911 of the lasting accomplishments we have all made for equality.
If you are looking for a way to recognizing the strong attributes of women in your life, send a bouquet of fresh flowers to show your support. The color purple is the theme for International Women’s Day with representation of justice and dignity. What better way than sending a beautiful bouquet of purple Tulips and or purple Mini Calla Lilies, both are beautiful bouquets that send a divine message of strength and empowerment of Women’s rights.
It’s important to take the time and recognize the importance of this impowering day as over the years we have seen the push for gender equality throughout the world. With the accomplishments of Women in all fields such as, and not limiting, STEM, Tech, and Politics it’s because of these accomplishments for new-found knowledge we use in our daily lives. Start the tradition at a young age to inform and celebrate these accomplishments with girls, so that we can build the foundation of knowledge and acknowledgement of these achievements for bright future for the up and coming generations.
This day can be wrapped up in a quote from the International Women’s Day organization as “make International Women’s Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women”. So here is cheers to each individual who makes a difference as we fight for a bright, equal, safe, and rewarding future for all!
