Fresh Cut Flower Delivery

If you've read our last few emails, you know that one of my favorite things to do is to visit our farms and experience first hand the stunning beauty of a flower farm in full bloom.

Just standing amongst the flowers overwhelms your senses with the sights and smells of millions of blooms, and I hope all of you have the chance to experience it one day.

Fresh Farm Anemone Delivery

This week I'd like to spotlight one of the farms that we partner with, located in Encinitas, California.

This farm is Certified American Grown, and we've had the pleasure of working with Bob, who owns the farm, since 1999. Their farm is a personal favorite to visit, not only for the amazing location, but Bob will always take time to tour the farm with us and chat about the flower business.

Super Fancy Tulips

Valentine's Day Tulips Delivered

This past week I was in Arcata, CA at one of our farms, taking in everything they have to offer, and planning the Flowerbud marketplace for 2018. The mild winters and cool summers in Northern California make for ideal growing conditions, allowing our farms to produce the most gorgeous and long-lasting flowers in the industry.

These beautiful Super Fancy Lieberstar Tulips captivated me, and I'm very excited to share them with you. Check them out here, and for the next two weeks, you can get 30 stems for $79.

Season of Thanks

Holiday Flowers Delivered

It is important to give thanks. Too often I find myself so wrapped up in the now that I forget what happened a day or even a week ago.  I forget the kind gestures that helped me through a tough day or the selfless support of a friend or family member. Even though it is not New Years, I am making a resolution to thank the people who make a difference in my life. In my time at Flowerbud, we’ve shared births, passings, marriages, and more than a few golden anniversaries.

Top 10 Edible Flowers

Edible Flowers List

Munching down on edible flowers has been a practice that dates back thousands of years -- the Chinese, Romans, and Greeks all enjoyed utilizing edible flowers in their food, and many cultures continue to use flowers in their cuisine today.  For example, in the Oaxaca and Chiapas region of Mexico it's very common to find delicious squash blossoms either stuffed with queso oaxaqueño and grilled as an appetizer, or folded into one’s quesadilla.

Corporate Gift-Giving Guide

Corporate Gift Giving doesn’t just have to happen during the holidays; in fact, corporate gift giving statistics show that the main goals of giving gifts to clients and prospects is to express appreciation and for relationship development -- this can happen (and perhaps even be more impactful) at anytime, not just holidays!

4th of July Flowers

fresh flower delivery

While June weddings abound with floral possibilities, Independence Day is not so florally famous.  After all,  Fourth of July celebrations are typically devoted to outdoor entertainment - food on the grill and drinks on ice.  Where could flowers possibly play a part in that scenario?

Summer Solstice

Fresh Flower Delivery

June 21st marks the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, when the sun reaches its northernmost point in the sky.  The summer solstice marks the ascension of spring into summer, and celebrates the power of the sun, and its provision of abundance, fruition, and fulfillment. What better way to celebrate the sun and the bounty it provides than with farm fresh flower flowers?
